Lena Dürr again missed the World Cup podium in the slalom. The victory goes to a Swiss.

Ski racer Lena Dürr was not able to use a good starting position in the fourth slalom world cup of the winter either. After fourth place in the first round, the Munich native slipped to eighth place in Sestriere and experienced the next setback of the season.

As in Killington, victory went to the Swiss Wendy Holdener. Second went to US superstar Mikaela Shiffrin, 0.47 seconds back. Petra Vlhova (+0.70) from Slovakia took third place.

As in the first three goals of the season, Dürr lost courage in the second round. Especially in the lower part of the course, the Olympic fourth-placed curves far too carefully around the poles. The targeted first World Cup victory is still a long way off two months before the start of the World Championships in France.

Andrea Filser finished 15th as the second German to score points and broke the national World Cup norm. Marlene Schmotz missed the final round of the top 30. Emma Aicher did not compete in Italy due to an infection, Jessica Hilzinger was injured after her fall in the giant slalom the day before.
