Ariana Giampietro, from the US state of Florida, has been caring for dogs in need of care for years.
For a week she has a four-legged guest named Monty.
However, Ariana wonders why the American pit bull mix terrier doesn’t listen to her.
No matter which command she tests, Monty looks at her confused and doesn’t react.
Ariana then calls the shelter, who tells her that the dog previously lived with a Spanish-speaking family.
After Ariana tests giving commands in Spanish to Monty, he suddenly obeys.

Luckily for her, Ariana’s partner, Andrew Gomez, is fluent in Spanish.
This enabled him to translate all the important commands for her.
Ariana tries to teach Monty the commands he already knows in English too – so that he can also get along in his immediate family.
