His lifeless body was discovered on Sunday January 22 at his home in Pont-Péan, near Rennes. A 47-year-old woman was killed, succumbing “to violence”. His companion, a 36-year-old mason, presented himself to the police station in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) to announce the death of his spouse. He was taken into custody but had not yet been heard Sunday evening. According to the public prosecutor, the victim had already denounced “the verbal violence” of her husband during a report to the gendarmerie.

She had presented herself to the brigade of Gacilly (Morbihan) on February 2, 2022 to report that she had left the marital home at the end of November. She then explained “to be afraid of her husband”, specifying however that he did not exercise “physical violence”. The victim had mentioned an episode during which he would have thrown a mobile phone at her and another during which he would have snatched a necklace from her.

Married since 2017

Placed in police custody on September 22, the man was heard on these facts and blamed the woman. “He said that on the contrary, it was his wife who had tried to attack him. And, with regard to the necklace, it evoked an involuntary act. The procedure was dismissed the same day for insufficiently characterized offense ”, specifies the public prosecutor Philippe Astruc. Investigators do not know if the couple’s life had resumed.

Sunday, the husband of the victim had not yet been able to be heard. According to the investigators, he also presented lesions on the body. Drug and alcohol tests were negative. The mason who works for his brother’s company had met the victim on November 24, 2014 and married her on May 20, 2017. The couple had no children.
