In 2003, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis filmed Freaky Friday. Now the two are said to be returning.

A sequel to the 2003 body switch comedy Freaky Friday starring Lindsay Lohan (36) and Jamie Lee Curtis (64) is apparently in the works. That reports “The Hollywood Reporter”.

Lohan and Curtis are reportedly set to reprise their roles as mother and daughter. In part one, the two woke up one day to find that they had swapped bodies. The film is based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers (1931-2014) and grossed $160 million worldwide. According to the report, Elyse Hollander is writing the screenplay for the sequel.

Lohan is working on her comeback

The potential “Freaky Friday” sequel would mark a return to the world of studio films for Lohan, who was one of the bigger up-and-coming stars of the 2000s. In recent years she has made a small comeback with the Netflix romantic comedy “Falling for Christmas”. In a report by the “New York Times” explained The actress – who is currently expecting her first child – said she and Curtis are open to a ‘Freaky Friday’ sequel.
