With its 42KM line, the RATP wants to encourage the runners’ supporters

After the future lines 15 and 16, here is the 42KM line. For this one, there is no need for a tunnel boring machine, it is a fictitious line imagined by the RATP to allow spectators and supporters to follow the Paris marathon as well as possible this Sunday. “By bringing together in a dedicated map* the 33 Metro stations located on the route of the Paris Marathon 2022, this fictitious line makes it possible to identify strategic places to come and encourage marathon runners”, indicates the press release from the carrier.

Better the RATP has identified the eight strategic stations where it will be necessary to be not to lose a crumb of this race. And since we’re not prudish 20 minutes, here are the names: Concorde, Hôtel de Ville, Reuilly-Diderot, Porte Dorée, Porte de Charenton, Concorde, Ranelagh/Boulainvilliers and Avenue Foch/Porte Dauphine. To be sure not to get stuck in the timing, the RATP also offers “spectator routes […] developed according to seven departure SAS, the objective of which is between 3h and 4h30”. There will also be “personalized Metro journeys to follow the runners as closely as possible throughout the course”.

* The 42KM Line map will be available when collecting bibs and on the RATP stand at the Salon du Running, as well as on the ratp.fr website
