Winnetou and washcloths: how the Germans repress war and climate – opinion

What will Germans be doing in the summer of 2022? Necessarily with the climate, the war, the – self-inflicted – gas dependence. But I prefer to judge other Germans. What is Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s greatest crime, his cum-ex involvement? No, he didn’t wear a mask on the government plane to Canada, scandal! And Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, isn’t his policy meandering into the next Corona catastrophe? Oh, much worse: he swallowed a not very common anti-virus drug during his Covid illness. Are the other Germans doing everything wrong too? Yes, they use washcloths too seldom, criticizes the Green Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann. The protestant theologian Margot Käßmann complains that they pack the school bags far too full for the first graders. They all happily interfere in other people’s private affairs, as if the prosperity or ruin of the state depended on it. The main thing is that it’s always the other person’s fault. To whatever.
