Wind subsidiary – Siemens Energy suffers – economy

Siemens Energy continues to suffer from the problems at its Spanish wind power subsidiary Gamesa. Only three months after the group had to cut the forecast because of this, it is already in question again, as the company announced. In addition, Energy reported a slight increase in sales, significantly lower order intake and a negative operating result as preliminary figures for the second fiscal quarter from January to March. Siemens Energy has been suffering for some time from the problems at the Spanish wind power subsidiary, in which the Munich company holds around two-thirds, and recently replaced the boss there. At the beginning of March, Jochen Eickholt, who until then had been on the board of the parent company, took over the helm at Gamesa. On Wednesday morning he spoke clear words: “I have to admit that the business development is well below our and my expectations,” he said. “The situation has not improved, the opposite is the case.”
