The Adele concerts were a lucrative additional business for the Munich trade fair. It is quite possible that there will be music there in the coming years, say the trade fair bosses. However, the core business will remain the huge exhibitions.
A few geese are dozing on the way to the administration of the Munich Trade Fair. It is surprisingly quiet here, unless there are pop stars or construction machines to admire. But the impression of sleepiness is deceptive: While workers are quickly removing Adele’s huge event arena from the open-air area in Riem, preparations for the next trade fairs are already underway: the Expo Real meeting of the real estate industry, the Heim und Handwerk and the Bauma 2025. Before the exhibitors can show their huge scaffolding, excavators and cranes in April, the aging outdoor areas, which were a concert arena in August, must be modernized.
