Wiehle leads the AfD district association Upper Bavaria – Bavaria

Wolfgang Wiehle remains chairman of the AfD district association of Upper Bavaria, and a party conference in Rosenheim confirmed the Munich parliamentarian in office at the weekend. In addition to Mühldorf’s Oliver Multusch and Munich’s Markus Walbrunn, both city councilors in their communities, Franz Bergmüller was also elected to the ranks of deputies. The member of the state parliament and well-known restaurant lobbyist has recently also held a vice position in the parliamentary group.

Overall, the board of directors of the party in Upper Bavaria is considered moderate for AfD conditions; unlike in the state executive, which was newly elected a few weeks ago under the leadership of the Bundestag member Stephan Protschka and to which several dedicated representatives of the völkisch “wing” belong. In his speech, Wiehle put the preparation for the state elections in 2023 at the focus of his work. For him, it is about presence and modern public relations at all levels.
