When 25 years ago, on June 19, 1999, 29 European countries signed the so-called Bologna Declaration, Barbara Lemayr was not even born yet. Today, the 23-year-old from Eppan in South Tyrol is just about to complete her bachelor’s degree in political science at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU). The young Italian studied there for eight semesters.
