There are places in this world that seem to have been blessed by higher powers. Starnberg in Upper Bavaria is located on such a piece of earth, on the north shore of Lake Starnberg, the body of water known far beyond Germany’s borders, which Bavaria’s rulers valued as a summer residence centuries ago. Today, so the celebrity magazine raved Colorful, “Entrepreneurs, heirs and stars live in stately villas” around the lake.
