Why the children’s comedy “Moooment” is a tip for adults – media

Adaolisa, 13, is asked by the father of a classmate where she comes from, i.e. where she really comes from. “Moooment mal!” Shout the children and freeze the scenery to exchange ideas. In the sketch comedy series, friends Tayfun, Nadia, Johannes, Sam, Julia and Adaolisa show in a funny and empathic way how to deal with everyday racism. When the teacher Ms. Müller asks Sam whether he would fly to “home”, to Israel, on vacation, or praise a pensioner in the Adoalisa ice cream parlor for her good German, the clique explains in sketches and monologues why this is hurtful and absurd is where prejudice comes from and how to react. The message: Don’t watch, talk about racism. And remains humorous.

The format is aimed at 11 to 13 year olds. But it is also ideal for adults, despite the children’s channel, because a “Moooment mal” at the right moment would very often do you good, on talk shows and on Twitter, but also often enough in everyday life. In any case, the Writers Room around head author Joy Chun stages great everyday stories in order to sensitize viewers to racism. So far only five episodes with a few minutes each. Wait a minute, we need more!

Moooment !, on Kika.
