Why so little is left of the pension increases – Economy

from

Thomas Oechsner

Ulrike Claudi, 71, is not really into numbers. Voluntarily reading the small print in her tax assessment would normally not even occur to the pensioner. But then the linguist was driven by a question: “Why is there actually so little left over from my pension increases year after year?” So the SZ reader began to compare their tax assessments. And made discoveries that some current and certainly most future retirees may not be aware of.
