The message sent by Nantes Métropole concerns 103,000 Nantes households : “Nantes users using the Tri’Sac system are invited to keep their yellow bags at home, as much as possible, for the next two weeks”. Clearly, they are asked not to put their yellow garbage bag, reserved for recyclable waste, in the usual collection bin.
The reason ? Maintenance work has been carried out since Monday at the waste treatment and recovery plant. Alcea, located Prairie de Mauves in Nantes. They will end on September 3.
Due to maintenance work at the Alcea factory, sorting of yellow bags cannot be carried out for Nantes users of Tri’sac, from 23 August to 3 September. They are asked to keep their yellow bags during this period. https://t.co/mqcJYLErek

Recycle rather than incinerate
During the work, the yellow bags that would still be placed in the bins will be incinerated, like the blue bags. In order to “allow their recycling” when the time comes, Nantes Métropole therefore recommends that the inhabitants concerned be patient.
Waste collection is normally carried out for other inhabitants of the Nantes metropolis who are not in the Tri’Sac system (but in a system of yellow and blue bins, or translucent bags).
