Whoopi Goldberg survived her corona infection and is back with her talk show “The View”.

Whoopi Goldberg (66) was infected with the corona virus at the turn of the year, and is now celebrating her TV comeback on the talk show “The View”. The actress suffered from mild symptoms, she had already received her third vaccination.

With her three co-presenters, Goldberg spoke in “The View” of course mainly about Covid. Ana Navarro (50) and Sunny Hostin (53) were also sick with the virus. The fourth moderator in the group, Sara Haines (44), had to go into quarantine because she had contact with infected people. The four women were connected via different screens.

About her time in quarantine, Goldberg said on the show: “If you get Covid or have to isolate yourself because you’ve been with someone who has it, you have to think about it: How don’t I get moody, grumpy or angry with others ? “

“Open the window and get Covid”

How she got infected is a mystery to the Oscar winner: “I feel as if I opened the window and got Covid because it was simply blown with the wind”. Elsewhere she called the virus a “fart in a sandstorm”.

ABC has broadcast “The View” since 1997. The show, moderated exclusively by women, is the longest running talk show in the USA after the “Oprah Winfrey Show”. Whoopi Goldberg took over the main moderation of Rosie O’Donnell (59) in 2007.
