Candidate Timo Zang made it to “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” up to the million question. It was about a fairy tale – but he didn’t have the right answer.

To get to the millionaire question – that’s what all the candidates dream of in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” On Wednesday evening someone did it again: Timo Zang played himself confidently to the last question in the quiz with Günther Jauch. “Something I have no idea about, please,” joked the secondary school teacher beforehand. And then it was about a very well-known fairy tale.

“If you read Grimm’s fairy tale from Little Red Riding Hood to the end, you realize: Is there still talk of …?” Was the million-dollar question. The following answer options were available: A: another wolf, B: a great-grandmother, C: a Jägermeister and D: Little Red Riding Hood’s sister. Zang went through all the fairy tales, thought about it and actually tended to answer C – the Jägermeister. But then he shrank from it: “That’s too hot for me. The million dollar question is awesome, but I won’t let it rain,” he said. Fortunately, because the correct answer would have been the other wolf.

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” with a special week: three million euros in the jackpot

Zang stopped with a proud € 500,000 profit – for which, by the way, he previously gambled as ice-cold. The question for the half million was: “In 1857 the world’s first …?” Jauch then gave the following possible answers: allotment garden club, carnival club, shooting club or mountain sports club. Zang listened to his feelings and gave the correct answer from gut instinct: mountain sports club. “Are you insane?” Jauch asked incredulously. It was understandable that the candidate did not want to challenge his luck again with the million dollar question.

And he gets another chance: RTL is currently running the “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” Event week. The quiz show takes place four times in total. All candidates who win at least 16,000 euros are allowed to play for three million euros in the last edition, in the final. Timo Zang will be one of them.
