Wearing a mask is compulsory in Montpellier – N. Bonzom / Maxele Presse

Since Thursday, wearing a mask is no longer mandatory outdoors, but it remains in closed places. But also in particularly frequented places, such as markets, near schools or on the platforms of stations or airports.

In the Hérault, the prefecture has decided to maintain the obligation to wear a mask in certain sectors. In Montpellier, on Fridays and Saturdays, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., it is compulsory in the Ecusson, on the Place de la Comédie, as far as the outskirts of the Polygone shopping center and in the Odysseum shopping center. And in Béziers, the wearing of the mask remains in force at the Polygone, although it is in the open air.

Palavas-les-Flots, Grande-Motte and Cap d’Agde

At the seaside, too, we do not take the mask off, big crowds oblige. It remains compulsory in Palavas-les-Flots, on the Georges-Clémenceau and Paul Cunq quays, and in the rue Saint-Roch, every day, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. And at La Grande-Motte, at the same times, on the Allée du Maréchal Juin. And in Cap d’Agde, on the same niche, in the rue de la Hune, the Di Domenico, Jean Miquel, Beaupré and de la Trinquette quays, the Racine esplanade, and the places Agde Marine and the Globe.

Finally, the only village in the off-shore department to be forced to wear a mask: Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, every day, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
