No adaptation at this stage of the health pass

There will be no local adaptation or reduction of the health pass, which is maintained in all departments for the moment. “There is no decision to adapt the sanitary pass,” said government spokesman Gabriel Attal, adding that it was “thanks to the sanitary pass that we were able to keep closed establishments open, and massively encourage vaccination ”.

End of the mask in elementary school

From Monday, October 4, wearing a mask will no longer be compulsory for primary school pupils for departments with an incidence of less than 50, said Gabriel Attal. In these departments, schoolchildren will be able to remove the mask both outside and inside.

The gauges raised

From October 4, in the departments which have an incidence rate of less than 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the gauges of establishments open to the public, such as museums or cinemas, will be lifted, added the spokesperson of the government.

Improvement of the epidemic situation

“The health improvement continues thanks to the vaccination campaign, which is a French success,” said Gabriel Attal, stressing nonetheless that “caution is required” in certain territories, especially overseas. “In one week, the number of daily cases detected decreased by 30%, and the number of hospitalized patients by 11%,” added the government spokesperson.
