Have you ever heard of Crema Bueno? No, it’s not the latest from Ferrero but a spread created in Normandy a year ago. Crema Bueno would have characteristics and taste similar to that of El Mordjene, the Algerian spread banned from marketing in Europe since September 17, as explained The Parisian.
Since the El Mordjene affair, the demand for Crema Bueno has exploded. Intended for professionals, such as restaurants or pastry chefs, Norman hazelnut paste is now sought after by many hypermarket owners.
More than 150,000 pots already ordered
More than 150,000 pots of Crema Bueno, composed of roasted hazelnuts, sugar, milk powder, rapeseed oil, French sunflower lecithin and RSOP palm oil (a more ecological sector), have already been ordered .
Since the end of September, Alexandre Cousin and Léa Chauveau, the two creators of Crema Bueno, have created five positions to meet demand. They plan to hire ten people by the end of October.
