Get out of the cold water! This is at least possible via loudspeaker if the obligations and/or the wallet do not allow it. With Cari-Cari you pack pure good mood into the sound system.
The duo is often classified as indie pop. It’s somehow true, but doesn’t do full justice to the two and their music. Borrowings from the disco sound can be recognized in “Bubu Fire”, for example, and “No Proper Life” would also be danceable without any problems. The title track then proves to be amazingly dreamy, “Around The Bend” then again lives up to the classification mentioned. In short: “Welcome To Kookoo Island” has become a wonderfully varied album.
