Following a report about an armed person in the Swabian town of Weissenhorn (Neu-Ulm district), the police have arrested a man. There is no longer any danger in the town, a police spokesman told the German Press Agency.
The police were called out on Wednesday morning on a major operation because “a person with unclear weapons” had been sighted. A helicopter was also used in the search for the suspect. The area was closed to traffic and around two dozen patrol crews were on site. No one was injured. Further details were not initially known.
