The range extends from just above zero degrees in the north to almost 20 degrees in southern Baden. The next cold snap in Germany is then already in sight.

Wet and cold eight degrees at the weekend, spring-like up to 19 degrees on Monday, partly snow on Wednesday – the temperatures in Germany will be a real roller coaster in the coming days. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the reason for this are several low-lying foothills, which have subtropical air on their front side and arctic cold air on the back.

“Thus, there will be quite a contrast program in the temperatures over the next few days. Very mild phases alternate with colder phases,” said a DWD meteorologist on Friday in Offenbach. Accordingly, there are still individual showers with snow and sleet on the coasts on Saturday. With maximum temperatures of three to eight degrees, it is uncomfortably cool to cold.

A warm front then moves on Sunday, which causes the temperature to rise to a mild 12 to 19 degrees on Monday. According to the information, the highest values are reached in southern Baden. There are frequent showers and thunderstorms. Even at night it stays frost-free.

“The next onset of cold air, which will bring snow again, at least in the mountains, awaits us on Wednesday,” said the DWD meteorologist. However, how things will continue after that is still uncertain. “Probably a spring-like phase awaits us towards the end of the new week,” predicts the weather forecaster.
