At the start of the week, the sun is making a comeback in Germany: the nights are getting icy, and there is hardly any snow.

Sun instead of clouds: In the new week, the cloudy wintry weather will be over for the time being. Apart from a few flakes in the middle and in the south, there will be no more fresh snow from this Monday, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts on Sunday in Offenbach. After a cloudy start, the sun made its way more and more. Temperatures will rise to a maximum of six to seven degrees. At night it gets frosty with zero to minus nine degrees, in the low mountain ranges of the southeast even under minus ten degrees.

The weather models also show a lot of sunshine for the following days, as meteorologist Simon Trippler explained. Local fog is possible in the morning. The north in particular will be touched by a few high cloud fields, but the sunshine will come through them.

From Thursday it will be a little cloudier, but there is still no sign of precipitation worth mentioning. High pressure weather is expected to prevail until next weekend. “There is still no wintry weather with snowfall in previously neglected low altitudes,” the meteorologist explained.
