At the beginning of the new week it will be warm like summer in Germany, but not everywhere.

Sunny, dry, hardly any clouds: This is how the weather is supposed to be in many places in Germany on Sunday.

But it’s not getting friendly everywhere: “Again and again it’s “bubbling” at the edge of the Alps in the form of thundery showers, which can still be quite strong locally,” said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) on Saturday in Offenbach.

There could also be individual showers and thunderstorms in the mountains. While temperatures in the northern half and on the edge of the Alps are said to be 16 to 21 degrees, the maximum values between the Main and Danube are between 19 and 24 degrees. Monday night will be mostly clear. According to the forecast, the temperatures will drop to 12 degrees on the Upper Rhine and 0 degrees in the north.

According to the DWD, Monday will be almost summery. While some cumulus clouds can be seen in the south, there is a lot of sunshine with maximum values between 19 and 26 degrees. “In the southwest, where it traditionally likes to be the warmest anyway, the 30-degree mark could even be scratched,” said the meteorologist.
