Weather: snow, ice, floods… 3 departments remain on orange alert

The weather conditions remain disturbed this Wednesday in part of the country. Three departments have been placed on orange alert by Météo-France.

The disturbances calm down but continue. In his last newsletter of this Wednesday, January 18, Meteo France maintained three departments on orange alert: Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Hautes-Pyrénées for snow-ice and Landes for flooding of the medium Adour.

This Wednesday evening and next night, snowy passages will follow one another in the Pyrenean departments. On the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Hautes-Pyrénées, the amounts of snow will reach 2 to 5 cm in the plains, 10 cm from 300/400m altitude.

In the Toulouse region, the snowy passage of the evening may give a thin layer of snow in places, 1 to 3 cm are possible at low altitude from the Toulouse noon to Carcassonne.

Thursday at midday, a new disturbance will arrive on the Atlantic coast and will bring overcast weather with light to moderate rains in the plain.
