Because of the planned delivery of heavy weapons to Ukraine, Russia’s ex-president Medvedev compared the Bundestag to Nazi Germany – and sent a threat afterwards.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has compared the Bundestag to Nazi Germany for agreeing to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine.

“Apparently, the German MPs are haunted by the laurels of their predecessors, who sat in the German parliament under a different name in the past century,” wrote the deputy head of the Russian Security Council on the Telegram news channel. “It’s sad for Parliament. It will end sadly.”

With the votes of the traffic light coalition and the Union, the Bundestag had previously called on the federal government to “continue and, where possible, accelerate the delivery of necessary equipment to Ukraine and also to expand the delivery of heavy weapons and complex systems, for example as part of the ring exchange ». Russia has repeatedly threatened to attack foreign arms supplies in Ukraine.
