More people in the streets. For the strong man of the CFDT, Laurent Berger, “we must amplify” the mobilization against the pension reform on the occasion of the third day of action on February 7. On the set of France 2, reacting hotly after an interview during which the Prime Minister returned to the measures of the reform, Laurent Berger regretted that we had “not heard of work”: “It’s of work that we should have talked about this evening to show a minimum of empathy. […] We have the impression that there is not, at the moment, a social movement in this country”.
“People want us to talk this evening about their work, about taking into account what they express”, insisted the secretary general of the CFDT, recalling the two other days of action on the 19th and January 31, the latter having aroused the “largest” mobilization “for thirty years”.
Another day of mobilization on February 7
During the next day decided by the inter-union, Tuesday, February 7, “we must continue the mobilization” of January 19 and 31 and “we must amplify it”, insisted the union leader. As for the following day, Saturday 11, it will offer “the possibility of coming to demonstrate, including for workers, workers who do not necessarily come during the week, including with their families”, to “show that there is a real discontent and real mobilization, ”continued the number one of the CFDT.
The leader of the CFDT welcomed the announcement by Elisabeth Borne that financial sanctions could be applied to companies that do not act in favor of the employment of seniors. “I give him the point,” said the trade unionist.
But it is the postponement of the legal age to 64 that makes “this reform is unfair”, hammered Laurent Berger. “When will the government of Elisabeth Borne hear this call from the world of work: this reform we do not want? he wondered.
