WDR: Tom Buhrow should comment on satirical contributions – media

from

With the humor in the ARD is complicated. Political cabaret, satirical shows, stand-up performances from WDR to MDR are rarely talked about because of their high quality and throwaway punch lines. More often, you can get the feeling when you accidentally turn it on, because apparently without much editorial thought, people are let loose on the viewers who – despite cabaret and poetry slam prizes – elicit more questions than laughter from even the most devoted audience. It may be that the humor problem is more of a location in Germany than one of the broadcasters. But because public broadcasters are of course also responsible for good jokes, all of this has now led to a small CDU uprising in the broadcasting council of West German Broadcasting.
