Between two recommendations on how to fight the Covid-19 epidemic, would the members of the World Health Organization (WHO) afford luxurious moments of relaxation in defiance of all barrier gestures?
This is what suggests a photo relayed by many Internet users on social networks, in which elegantly dressed guests share a meal along a gigantic table.
“We are really the idiots of this story! [Voilà un] WHO meal on March 18, 2021 ”, affirms the legend associated with this photograph, which is enough to make the clandestine dinners organized at the Vivienne Palace pale. Except that this image has no connection with the WHO … and dates back to December 2014.
FAKE OFF
A simple reverse image search makes it possible to find it as an illustration of different items of the time devoted to this banquet organized by the Nobel committee in Stockholm.
It appears mainly on the website of the European Pressphoto Agency, which specifies that it was carried out by the photographer Claudio Bresciani. At a time when neither barrier gestures nor Covid-19 were topical, and when each gathering outside and inside did not give rise to a potential controversy over non-compliance with health measures.
