Video: Violence again in protests against pension reform

STORY: During protests against the planned pension reform in France, riots broke out again on Tuesday. In Paris, demonstrators set fire to garbage cans and scooters. The rubbish left behind as a result of the strikes against President Emmanuel Macron’s proposed legislation also goes up in flames. The police used tear gas against rioters. It is the sixth night of protests in a row. The anger is directed at Macron’s plans, according to which, among other things, the retirement age is to be raised from 62 to 64 years. The government pushed through the reform bypassing the National Assembly using a special constitutional article. On Monday, she survived two no-confidence votes requested by the opposition. According to French media, Macron wants to address the nation on Wednesday.
