Video: UN nuclear agency – Received concessions from Iran

STORY: In the dispute over the monitoring of Iranian nuclear facilities, the UN nuclear regulatory body (IAEA) has received concessions from the Islamic Republic. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said on Saturday at a press conference at Vienna Airport after his return from Tehran: “We have agreed on several specific points, such as access to information and locations. As you can imagine, we agree with Iran on this. And we will then report on our conclusions and evaluations.” A confidential report said that Grossi expects the joint declaration to be implemented quickly and in full. However, Iran has made similar commitments in the past which have not been kept. Iran should provide access to information, places and people, said Grossi Land will also allow the reinstallation of additional surveillance equipment installed under the 2015 nuclear deal but removed again in 2022. Follow-up talks between the IAEA and Iranian officials to clarify details would take place “very, very soon,” Grossi said.
