STORY: According to Ukrainian police, a Russian rocket hit a five-story building in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia, killing several people and injuring some. The search for missing persons continued on Thursday morning. Several people have already been rescued from the collapsed part of the building, the state rescue service said. It was only recently that the Russian invasion of Ukraine marked an anniversary. On February 24, 2022, Moscow’s army invaded the country. Since then there has been bitter fighting, especially in the east of the country. Millions of Ukrainians have fled their homes or are suffering from air raids and a poor supply situation. Most of the reports from the war zones cannot be independently verified. However, the United Nations assumes that thousands of civilians have already been killed in the fighting, including hundreds of children.
