STORY: On Thursday in Washington DC, US Attorney General Merrick Garland declared that the authorities, in cooperation with the Stuttgart public prosecutor’s office, among others, had struck a major blow against an international network of cybercriminals called “Hive”. The US Department of Justice in Washington said the network had stolen more than $100 million in ransoms. Hospitals, school districts, financial companies and important infrastructure in more than 80 countries were affected. In Washington, US Attorney General Merrick Garland thanked the international partners – especially Germany and the Netherlands – for their cross-border cooperation.
