Shining symbol for cohesion
Cohesion. Around 1,000 participants demonstrated for this at Munich’s Odeonsplatz. With light painting they want to set an example: Against the division of society and for respectful interaction with each other. It was organized by the “Munich becomes visible” campaign, which also has many supporters from politics. “I work in the healthcare system myself, as a nursing manager, and I experienced two outbreaks and a lot of people died there. And I’m still appalled that there are people who simply doubt the findings of science.” “Because I want to fly the flag for the majority. Because I am very firmly convinced that the only way we can get out of the pandemic is through vaccination. And I think the opponents of vaccination are stupid, stubborn and misguided.” “I’m here because I think it’s time for the people who are in favor to show that they are present. And not just the people who shout the loudest.” “To show that what has been presented in the media so far is not the majority, but that the majority is actually behind the measures taken by and large stands. Dealing with the situation calmly and prudently.” In order to create a spectacular image, the demonstrators illuminated parts of rescue blankets with their mobile phones. The reflection enabled them to paint their message on the sky, so to speak.
The action on Thursday in Munich was intended as a counterpoint to the recent protests by opponents of the Corona policy.
