One day before the ballot for the Lower Saxony state parliament, the Chancellor traveled to Hanover to give his party a boost in the last few meters of the election campaign. Malu Dreyer, Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate, also spoke for incumbent Stephan Weil. According to polls, the SPD could become the strongest party in Lower Saxony, followed by the CDU and the Greens.
