The conversion of Hartz IV into citizen income with significantly higher payments planned by the traffic light coalition can probably come into force at the beginning of 2023. The SPD, Greens and FDP agreed a compromise with the opposition Union, which was sent to the mediation committee of the Bundestag and Bundesrat on Tuesday.
