Victory for Emmanuel Macron with 58.54% of the vote…

6:04 am: Macron wins but retreats in Occitania

If Occitania re-elected Emmanuel Macron (53.96%) ahead of Marine Le Pen (46.04%), the outgoing president has declined in the thirteen departments of the region compared to 2017, especially in the Lot where he passed from 72.18% to 59.18%. Four departments even preferred the RN candidate. Pyrénées-Orientales (56.32%), Aude (54.90%) and Gard (52.15%), as well as Tarn-et-Garonne (52.02%) thus voted for Marine Le Pen.

Emmanuel Macron, on the other hand, largely won in Toulouse, with 77.48% against 22.52% at Marine Le Pen in the Pink City where Jean-Luc Mélenchon had arrived first on April 10 with 36.93% ahead of the president- candidate (26.42%), the RN candidate placing herself far behind (9.54%). With 72.17% against 27.83%, Emmanuel Macron was also ahead of Marine Le Pen in Montpellier.

Notable fact for the National Rally: Marine Le Pen was overtaken with 47.98% of the votes in Perpignan, a municipality yet led since 2020 by its spokesperson Louis Aliot and which wants to be the showcase of the RN.
