Van den Boomen, Dejaegere, Spierings, Dupé… Toulouse announces the departure of four managers

For its last game of the season at the Stadium, the TFC welcomes Auxerre on Saturday evening. A meeting with much more at stake for AJA, in the fight not to go down, than for Toulouse, quiet 13th in Ligue 1 two days from the end. However, it will be a special event for supporters of the recent Coupe de France winner.

Four indisputable holders, major players in the rise in the elite last year and in the current good season, will leave the banks of the Garonne. The club announced this Friday in a statement on Twitter that Belgian captain Brecht Dejaegere as well as Dutchmen Branco van den Boomen and Stijn Spierings and goalkeeper Maxime Dupé would not extend contracts which all expire on June 30. The Violets will therefore find themselves deprived of their very precious Dutch-speaking midfield trio, whose future has been the subject of much debate among fans for months, and of their doorman.

Rhys Healey is leaving too

The data will have to turn to the fullest to compensate for these departures, to which must be added that of the English striker Rhys Healey, darling of the Stadium.

The Ligue 2 “pichichi” in 2021-2022 (20 goals) only played three games in L1 (one achievement) before spending the rest of the season in the infirmary due to a knee injury.
