Shock at the amusement park: Around 30 people were stuck in the air for several minutes on a carousel in the USA – upside down. But then rescue arrived.

A thrill of the scary kind: About 30 people are on a ride on a Carousel in the US state of Oregon got stuck upside down in the air. They had to remain in this position for at least ten minutes on Friday afternoon (local time) at the Oaks Amusement Park in Portland on the US west coast, reported the portal OPB.

Rescue workers from the Portland Fire Department initially considered using a rope to rescue people from the seats of the round “Atmos Fear” ride. But the emergency services were eventually able to lower the carousel to the ground manually, as the fire department wrote in a post on Platform X. There were no serious injuries – no further details were given, only that those who were rescued were able to receive medical examinations.

It was not immediately known why the carousel got stuck. The theme park advertises this ride on its website with the words: “Our breathtaking extreme attraction is one of our most popular! Two rides in one: you can opt for the thrill of the 360° ride or choose the 180° ride for a pendulum experience.”
