The 35-year-old cannot have children of her own. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s giving up her desire to become a mother.

The US actress Lena Dunham (“Girls”) has spoken again about her great desire to have children.

“I’ll be 36 this year,” she said in an interview with industry magazine The Hollywood Reporter (Wednesday). “I don’t want to be 38 without having a child.” The topic has become all the more important to her since she met her husband, the British-Peruvian musician Luis Felber. The couple married in London in September. According to the report, they want to adopt a child.

Dunham has previously spoken openly about her desire to have children and, in connection with this, her infertility. The 35-year-old had her uterus removed four years ago because of endometriosis. In an essay for Harper’s Magazine in 2020, she wrote about failed attempts to have a child through artificial insemination and a surrogate mother. The actress is also committed to education about the abdominal disease endometriosis.
