Reports regularly circulate that cyber criminals have attacked a ticket seller, a dating website, a hotel chain or a social media platform. Personal and sensitive user data often ends up online, be it passwords, addresses and telephone numbers or even credit card details. More than a million accounts are leaked every day, according to the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam.
