Untermenzing: 15,000 euros damage during escape after burglary – Munich

A relatively small break-in – and a hit-and-run with consequences: In Untermenzing, the perpetrator(s) stole a maximum of 2,000 euros and several tablet computers from a workshop. They used the Dodge, which was there for repairs, as a getaway car and caused several accidents.

At around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday morning, an employee of the workshop, who was probably already on duty at that time, alerted the police. It is unclear how the perpetrator(s) got into the building. They broke open a cash box and stole the cash and some diagnostic computers.

While fleeing in the Dodge, which was in the garage for repairs, they drove into several parked vehicles. Several callers informed the police about the hit-and-runs. The journey finally ended when the Dodge became wedged into a parked car.

The police found a 21-year-old there and arrested him. Investigators believe there is a second perpetrator who is being sought. The 21-year-old is in custody.
