In Bavaria, more than 90 percent of the drinking water is obtained from the groundwater, but the levels are falling due to climate change, and at the same time there is increased contamination in the groundwater. Rivers, streams and lakes also suffer from severe pollution, drought and drought. And: Increasing extreme weather events make harmless bodies of water a danger.
