On Friday evening, a large tree fell on Agilolfingerstraße in Untergiesing and leaned against an apartment building, according to the Munich fire department. So nobody was injured.
A resident of the house noticed that the tree had leaned towards the house and thus blocked the way to the front door. He called the fire department.
According to the fire brigade, the emergency services then blocked the area for passers-by. Residents of the house were asked to stay inside. The firefighters then removed the tree piece by piece from a turntable ladder with a chainsaw. After about three hours, the path to the house was safe to walk on again.
The fire brigade does not know why the tree fell or how much damage was caused.
