A weakened Scotland without Watson?
Scotland flanker Hamish Watson, who tested positive for Covid-19, had to forfeit the match against the Blues, Saturday, during the 3rd day of the Six Nations Tournament, the Scottish Rugby Federation announced on Friday. Watson (30, 47 caps), voted best player of the 2021 Tournament, is replaced by Edinburgh player Nick Haining (31, 10 caps) in the starting XV.
It is the third line of Saracens Andy Christie (22 years old, 0 caps.) who takes the place of Haining on the bench of substitutes. Two other Scotland staff members have also tested positive and, like Watson, have been placed in solitary confinement.

The staff made a change from the team that started against Ireland two weeks ago (30-24). Jonathan Danty, recovered from his ankle injury, returns to the center. He will be associated with Gaël Fickou, as against Italy and New Zealand.

The Blues seem to have learned the lessons of two years ago
For the past two years, playing against Scotland in the Six Nations Tournament has often looked like a nightmare for the XV of France. Whether in 2020 at Murrayfield (28-17) or at the Stade de France in 2021 (23-27), the Blues have accumulated trauma and do not want to get carried away when finding their pet peeve this Saturday.
