Unknown persons stole parts of a solar system worth tens of thousands of euros in the district of Hof. On Wednesday, an employee of the solar park in Stammbach noticed a damaged fence, the police said on Thursday. Between Tuesday morning and Wednesday, unknown persons dismantled and stole 20 inverters. Inverters convert direct current into alternating current and are therefore installed in every solar system. According to a police spokesman, these parts of a solar system are “not that rare” to be stolen. The police are now looking for witnesses.
