Just a few years ago, there was a kind of unwritten law of nature in science. If you wanted to ruin your university career quickly and permanently, then there were few more suitable topics than research on UFOs. Except maybe work on hollow earth or the amber room. But not only the name for UFOs has changed – one now speaks of UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon, German: unknown celestial phenomena, note d. red); the perspective on phenomena that at first glance can hardly or not at all be explained has changed in the meantime.
