Uniswap Developer Team Wins Battle of Titans Web 3 Competition

The Uniswap developer team won a Web3 gaming competition among teams from leading crypto companies, beating Ledger, Polygon, NEAR, Yield Guild Games, Chainlink, OKX, and Bybit.

The event is hosted by MatchboxDAO, Starkware’s network gaming ecosystem, and is streamed on Twitch.

Uniswap, Polygon and security auditor OtterSec advanced to the finals. The trio fought evenly in the finals, and it was Uniswap who ultimately won.

Developers compete in a Mario Kart-style racing game in return for technical talent. where each team’s car is a smart contract that MatchboxDAO describes as a “Chess and Poker” Web 3 version

“We have been in the Ethereum ecosystem since 2016, but this is our first experience with a Web 3 game like this,” said Daniel Gretzke, technical lead of smart contracts at Polygon Labs.

in that race Each team had to create a strategy for each car before the race. This involves properly managing resources for accelerating, ammo, or buying armor. Each of which requires coins. Players will receive 17,500 coins at the start of the game.

In addition to coding skills Contestants also have to foresee what the other players are planning.

“We like this type of competition. It gives you the opportunity to showcase your skills to the fullest,” said Jonathan Giamporcaro, Blockchain R&D Engineer at Ledger.
