On May 21, 150 years ago, “the bloody week” began, an episode that will mark the end of the Paris Commune. In a few days, this uprising will be swept away and thousands of Communards will be summarily executed.
This “civil war between two republics” lasted only 72 days, yet even today, it struggles to build consensus and sometimes continues to divide.
