Julian Nagelsmann trusts Sven Ulreich to stand in for Manuel Neuer until the end of the season. The head coach is relaxed about finding a replacement in the transfer market.
In the search for a replacement for Manuel Neuer, FC Bayern is slowly running out of options. If no more doors open on the transfer market, Sven Ulreich will have to get the coals out of the fire for the record champions. That would not be a worst-case scenario for head coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Nagelsmann trusts Ulreich to represent Neuer

Head coach Julian Nagelsmann is still relaxed about the situation. “I didn’t read the headlines right now and I fainted,” Nagelsmann explained on Sunday (via transfer market) after Gladbach’s final rejection of a transfer from Yann Sommer became public.
Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic is “generally working at full speed” on a solution, said Nagelsmann, who, in an emergency, would also trust substitute keeper Sven Ulreich to replace Manuel Neuer until the end of the season.
“Ulle (Ulreich, note) played some very good games in the first half of the season, including football. He played very stable. In training it’s the same picture,” quoted goal the Munich head coach. Nagelsmann emphasized: “I trust him.”
FC Bayern will keep their eyes and ears open until the end of the transfer. But internally, the record champions would probably agree if Ulreich was between the posts until the end of the season.
